- Slow over scaled. Maximum ten filings a month.
- Transparent corrections. At the top of the affected piece, dated.
- Human-written, human-edited. Every filing is approved by a human editor.
DECK 03 Who we are
SMES India was founded in 2026 as a small editorial newsroom. The masthead is a working collective of critics, journalists, and editors filing on a freelance basis. Every published filing carries a byline; we do not publish anonymous coverage.
Filed slowly. Edited carefully. Published without a paywall. Three sentences. That is the editorial philosophy.

SMES India is independently funded. We do not currently run display advertising. We do not sell newsletter placements. The paper is supported by its founding editor.
DECK 05 Our use of AI tools
We use AI tools (currently Claude by Anthropic) for research, drafting, and copy editing. Every filing is read, fact-checked, edited, and approved by a human editor before publication. We take full responsibility.
